Description
The Eurasian Commonwealth is a union of the British Commonwealth, the Chinese Qing Dynasty, and the Ethiopian Empire. They used the American Civil War to expand their influence to nearly worldwide levels, and now seek supremacy in the solar system. This all-encompassing government uses extensive political and military power to extend and consolidate its influence.
Goals
The goal of the Commonwealth is absolute domination over the solar system. The leadership consists of powerful individuals who secure their positions through a mix of military strength and deft political intrigue. Their form of rule resembles the iron grip of an opaque and all-powerful elite.
Size
The Commonwealth rules Earth and has established protectorates on Mercury, Venus and Mars. It
counts millions of citizens and maintains an army of about 120,000 soldiers.
Resources
With Earth’s industrial capacities and large space fleets the Commonwealth
possesses substantial resources. However, it lacks enough troops to fully occupy and control all colonies.
Allies
- The banking consortium finances the operations of the Commonwealth and enjoys immunity in return.
- Trading houses may operate as long as they adhere to the strict rules of the Commonwealth.
- The Commonwealth hunts and fights the resistance and is in a fragile ceasefire with the Outer Alliance, which is repeatedly tested by frequent skirmishes.
