The Adept is connected to her Totem in a particularly deep way, and can thus adopt certain properties of the Totem. She can learn as many of them as her level in this Path Trait allows.
Here are some examples. It is also quite possible, in consultation with the Game Master, to introduce your own properties that correspond to the power level of the examples.
Winter Sleep/Iron Heart – The Adept can lower his metabolism to such an extent that he appears dead. Whether he is still alive can only be determined with a contested roll between Medicine and his Athletics ability, and in this state he can survive the level of the ability for weeks without water and food.
Parry – if his Totem is a melee weapon, he can parry ranged attacks with that weapon as well. To do so, he rolls on his weapon proficiency instead of Acrobatics.
Rapid Fire – If its Totem is a ranged weapon, its reload speed is reduced by one, but never less than one.
Claw – If her Totem is an animal, the Adept can transform her hands into the claws of that animal—if it has any—and thereby deal an extra point of damage in unarmed melee combat.
