Maindarisch is the general lingua franca in the Steam’n’Steel universe and is spoken by humans and other species alike.
It has developed from a mixture of various languages, especially Mandarin and English. From these words, and the term Main as a symbol for the main language, the name has also developed.
Maindarisch is used in all major trading hubs, spaceships, colonies and interplanetary communications. Mastery of Maindarisch enables the character to communicate with others effortlessly, close deals, exchange information and navigate different cultures.
